I signed up for another race.
If you’re new to my blog I have only ran two 5km races ever. The first one being in 2008 (re-cap) and I quit running after the race since I wasn’t training properly. The second race I had higher expectations of myself which I re-capped as well.
People always say that the adrenaline will pump you up and make you race faster and harder. I’m hoping third time’s a charm, because the first two (which were basically “My First Race” for both of them, since they were so far apart) I was still nervous while on the run and couldn’t relax.
I’m not going to tell you when my next race is. Solely for the reason that I don’t want to keep reminding myself how soon it is. I really don’t like talking about entering races, and how I almost hate it while I’m running them. But I can’t say much just yet. I know I’m not comfortable racing them. I need to start getting more comfortable running on my own and learning how to pace myself. I’m not always going to have a group of amazing great friends that will slow down for me when I need a walking break, or when I just feel sluggish.
But, I still thought I’d let you all know that I have entered another race, and it’s… soon.
I even debating signing up for two races at the time when I was on the registration page. But I refrained, for now. Maybe I’ll let you know more detailed information once I calm my nerves.
After all, it’s just a training run. Right?

Keep on running =] I think you should run on the pace you can, and not worry about your time, other people,… Don’t worry so much, that’s why you don’t relax.
At the gym, running on a treadmill can help you find a confortable pace. Don’t go over it, until you feel you can do it.
And don’t forget to make a “Outfit of the Race” when it finally comes.
good for you! I wish I could run.. I walk too quick my legs hurt and I’m dying!!! I’m envious!!!
You’ll do awesome!
