Back in ’07!

Well then. I haven’t updated in nearly a month. Mainly because I was getting ready to go home to Newfoundland for a little Christmas Vacation, that went by way too fast for my liking. However, I did get a few nice treats during the holidays – like a brand spankin’ new Nikon S6 folks! Hello new pictures, goodbye 7 year old webcam! I’ve been using a Canon for as long as I can remember, but all I seem to buy are lemons that break on me. The last one, I didn’t have it 6mths and the LCD screen went all liquidy. Sent it to Canon, they fixed it/sent it back – and it broke again! This time, it wasn’t my fault (well, neither were the previous times) but one of my drunken friends dropped it into her glass of beer, and it totally fried it. Whatever, $%* happens. I had fun with it, but I decided not to venture out for another canon, anytime soon. 2 cameras, 2.5 years, 3 breaks – definitely does not make me a happy Canon customer. I’m still getting used to the Nikon. At first my nikon was taking blurry AND grainy photos – until my Boyfriend changed some simple setting, and fixed it instantly.

Miss Erin, I have received your Christmas card when I got back to my apartment after my Christmas visit back home – thanks very much for that nice little note!

I gotta go get a couple of things done before I hold the monthly book club meeting which will be at my apartment this month – haha I’m so nerdy. Actually, I’m slack. I’ve only read one of the books and I’ve been in the club since July. We don’t really discuss the book either, which is good on my behalf ha!

Those devils we call high heels

I made myself the best supper tonight. Some roasted potatoes, mixed veggies and salmon cooked up. Didn’t take too long to make, thankfully. I was feeling really sick yesterday and part of today (and watching “How Clean Is Your House” isn’t helping). I dont know what caused it, I think there was a bug going around at work. I couldn’t take a sick day either… which has already been explained in previous entries. Grr.

I have my very last soccer game of the season, tonight. Le sigh. Too bad we couldn’t book a field for the January – April season. I spose I’ll have to tough it out and wait until the summer to join another team.

I bought my Christmas party dress last weekend while visiting my boyfriend. Looks some good on me! I’m also going to try and wear those devils we call high heels. Pray I don’t trip and twist my kneecap off like last time. I can’t wait though…too bad I don’t have a digital camera (I bring that up in every entry post, don’t I. haha!) otherwise I’d take a nice fancy picture of Scott and I, dressed up looking sharp. Oh ya!

I gotta go change. My team mate is picking me up since she feels bad when I get the bus. Nice hey? :)

Knocked my knee

Tonight I went out to a fairly nice restaurant with Scott’s ‘team’ from work, it was a Christmas Dinner – nice time for me to wear my high heels for the second time. Until I tripped over the stairs going to the bathroom and totally knocked my knee out of place somehow, and managing to knock down some stupid wooden picture frame. The washrooms were in the basement and nobody heard me, thankfully. Anyway, supper was totally filling and I’m ready to burst. Too wide awake to sleep yet.

My work’s Christmas Party is on the same night as Scott’s, not entirely sure what we’re going to do there, but I’m 99.91% certain that I want to go to mine. Mainly because I’ve never been to a real work Christmas type of party. I need to buy a nice dress. While I was in Toronto that other weekend, I was looking for something different to wear, but nothing suited my ‘fancy’ ha!

A little less than 3 weeks until I’m home. I am way unbelievably excited about this. Last year was spent in Ireland with my brother, his new wife, and step-kids. This year, my brother wont be in Newfoundland or anything, but we’re finally having Christmas dinner cooked by my awesome Mom who is a fantastic cook. My mouth is salivating talking about the meal, already. COUNT DOWN IS ON.

I’m going to Mt. Tremblant this ski-season, shall be exciting. Work is subsidizing it for us, so we get an insanely good deal.. so I’m takin Scott with me. Going to do some partying up in Quebec for sure.

Indoor soccer season has 2 more games left. Then no more until the summer. It sucks too, because I thought we might’ve been able to get a league on the go from January – April, but my ‘coach’ (we don’t have a referee, coach, anything – it’s great haha) couldn’t get a building or field booked whatsoever. Uhhhhhhhgg…nothing to look forward to on Wednesday’s anymore!

I get such an awesome deal when I head home this year. My Mom just bought a new computer that came with a 20″ or 21″ LCD monitor – she already had a 17″ flat screen, and my PC had a 15″ lcd…well, my neighbour was interested in buying one of the monitors from my Mom, so she decided to sell the 15″ to my neighbour, and give me her 17″ one! Awesome hey? I’m so excited to get my PC set up again, that thing runs so fast…

Well, it’s 11P and it’s probably about time I get ready for my beauty rest :P Bye bye folkies
