I had a good one, til it got deleted

I don’t know what happened to my entry last night. But I had a really lengthy post, uploaded it to the internet and, it just didn’t show up. I even hit save on my freaking index.html page. I still don’t know whatever happened. So I’m here tonight updating a little something.

Climbing competition tomorrow! I asked this one Russian girl to be my climbing partner, she’s been climbing for a few months and I noticed that she has the same climbing style as I do, so we can share some beta on certain routes we have trouble with tomorrow. It’ll be a really good time. Free food afterwards too! Score.

I’ve been in the mood to play Sims 2 after certain people have been talking about it. I’ve also been in the mood to download a TON of programs. A classmate gave me 3cd’s worth of programs that I desperately needed, since I was working with way older versions than I should’ve been. However, the programs I really wanted – I got, but the cracks don’t seem to work. Where does everyone download programs/cracks? The ones that haven’t worked for me are, Adobe Fontfolio 9, Illustrator CS2, and Quark Xpress 6! Boo. Though, I’ve got a ton of other neat little programs (Photoshop CS2, InDesign CS2, Macromedia Flash MX, Fireworks, Dreamweaver MX, Coldfusion, Freehand 10, GoLive CS2, and Acrobat 7) Whew, what a mouthful. I’m very happy with what I’ve got, but I would definitely be even more pleased if someone told me where to download these! I use Illustrator a lot, so it kinda sucks when Photoshop CS2 works, and I’m working in Illustrator 10. I can’t wait to get new brushes for Photoshop, I always have so much fun picking and choosing new styles to use. Well, enough of that geek talk, hey!

My Brother sent over a package from Ireland, well over 3 weeks ago and he even sent it priority. I can’t believe that it goes to Mississauga Ontario, and THEN comes to Newfoundland. What a freaking waste of airplane gasoline, sheesh. Could’ve just made a tiny little stopover here in town b’y. Man. So, it’s in New Brunswick at the moment, I just can’t wait to see what “surprise” he put in for me! I sent him over some money a while ago (like JANUARY), to get this awesome jacket for Scott, and my Brother used the money to pay bills.. so I’ve been waiting a little while to get this thing in the mail, and for waiting so long – he put a little something in there for me. Yippee!

Supper’s almost ready, I’m going to go upstairs. Later on.

My first client

Wow, it doesn’t seem like I haven’t updated for over a week! Yikes, I guess I’ve just been jam-packed incredibly busy! As a Graphic Design student, I finally have my first client, Thanks for my work term employers. It’s a pretty sweet job. I’ll be creating a new website for them. Ideas flying through my head, I’ve e-mailed the guy a couple of concepts to see which he likes best. Can’t wait until it turns out so I can show everyone, hee hee.

I bought another plane ticket to Ontario. I’ll be gone for over two weeks, after this semester ends, and right before my 6wk intersession begins. I honestly can’t wait to actually move up there when I’m finished my program.

My Mom and I went shopping for my cousin’s birthday, and as an early Easter present my Mom got a new belt for me too. My cousin was studying over in Rome for the past few months and she’s home now and it just so happens to be her birthday. So some night this week we’re going to head over and give her the present and have a little party.

To the guy who commented last in the previous entry, I work on both a Mac (os x) and a PC (windows xp). My own personal computer that I use is a PC. I borrow a little iMac from school, to bring along to my work term.. and we use both pc/mac at school. I prefer either or, really. Since January I’ve been using both operating systems pretty equally.

My 56pg magazine is coming along pretty well. I worked a lot on it this weekend, and yesterday. I would like to have it complete by March 31, but I’m not sure how likely that is yet.

I have so much news, holy cow! So, there’s a climbing competition on Sunday – I’ve signed up for it already, super excited about it. I went bouldering at the gym last night and got to the top of the V5 that I’ve only been working for two nights. It’s a two hand crimper match at the top of the route. In order to do that, my left foot is on a crimp, my right foot is on a heel hook, and I’m bringing my left hand – which was on a crimp/pincher and matching to another crimper. AHH! So exciting. A V5 is pretty hard for me! I rarely get V3’s man!

Hmm, what else what else. I’ve been forwarding my resume off to employers in Ontario. So keep your eyes peeled my friends, I’ll be an unemployed Graphic Designer in June, and on the lookout for some job prospects. YAY YAY!

v5 boulder prob

Alllllright then. Change of plans. I’ll be keeping this as my journal and personal website. I just talked with my host and he set me up with another domain. It’ll be more professional, so I could put it as an online portfolio. I’m excited. I have so many layout ideas. I might post it here once I’m done with it. Not sure yet.

I went climbing tonight and I tried working my first V5. My fingers feel like they’re ripped to shreads right now, I love it. They’re not sore or anything, it’s just the skin.. uh gross. Anyway I’m going to head upstairs and eat me some cheese. Yum-oh!
