DISNEY’S ALADDIN 2019

So remember when I announced I was working with Disney, and then I didn’t talk about their upcoming movies, etc? Well I’m back at it again. I’m here to bring you a teaser trailer and poster for the new ALADDIN movie which releases everywhere on May 24, 2019. Oh this is a classic.

ALADDIN is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, the film is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s ALADDIN.

ALADDIN stars Will Smith as the larger-than-life Genie; Mena Massoud as the charming scoundrel Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine, the beautiful, self-determined princess; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, the powerful sorcerer; Navid Negahban as the Sultan concerned with his daughter’s future; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Princess Jasmine’s free-spirited best friend and confidante. The film includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and two new songs. The film, which was shot on practical stages in London and on location amidst the stunning desert vistas of Jordan, has a talented creative team helping to bring Agrabah to life.

Watch below — it looks good hey? Can’t wait to start taking bebs to movies when he’s a little older!

Mary Poppins returns

Mary Poppins Returns
Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt) returns to the Banks home after many years and uses her magical skills to help the now grown up Michael and Jane rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives in MARY POPPINS RETURNS, directed by Rob Marshall.

Well have I got some supercalifragilisticexpialidocious news for you! Take that spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down, and get ready for it because Mary Poppin’s is returning to theaters.

Being on the Disney PR list is exciting, mainly for the fact I get a heads up when the newest releases are coming out, and this one in particular brings me right back to being a child. Disney’s 1964 film MARY POPPINS is making a comeback, and it’s going to star Golden Globe® winner Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins. It’ll also be starring Colin Firth and Meryl Streep.

The film, which introduces three new Banks children, played by Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and newcomer Joel Dawson, also features Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury (who remembers her from the 80s show, ‘Murder She Wrote’? I used to watch that all the time with my Dad!).

The film is set in 1930s depression-era London (the time period of the original novels) and is drawn from the wealth of material in PL Travers’ additional seven books. In the story, Michael and Jane are now grown up, with Michael, his three children and their housekeeper, Ellen, living on Cherry Tree Lane.

After Michael suffers a personal loss, the enigmatic nanny Mary Poppins re-enters the lives of the Banks family, and, along with the optimistic street lamplighter Jack, uses her unique magical skills to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives. Mary Poppins also introduces the children to a new assortment of colorful and whimsical characters, including her eccentric cousin, Topsy (Streep).

MARY POPPINS RETURNS will be released in U.S. theaters on December 25, 2018!

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Well, I never thought I’d be on the Disney press-list, but here I am and I’m beyond stoked about it.

This blog post is not Moana related, but I thought I’d bring it up as I took my nephews to see it when I was home over Christmas — it’s a Disney Pixar movie about a strong-willed independent little girl who was chosen by the ocean. I’ll leave it at that, and for those who have seen it — who loved it?!

Back to where I wanted to take this post today, many people’s favourite Disney movie, Beauty and The Beast. Belle, one of Disney’s most beloved princesses is coming back, 25 years later. They are re-telling the story with a strong cast, and made it into a live action musical, staying true to its original music, and introducing several new songs. Can’t wait!

Beauty and The Beast opens in theatres everywhere on March 17, 2017. Very exciting! I won’t flood my blog with everything Disney, but I did want to push live some of what came my way — especially seeing how Beauty and The Beast comes out in a few short weeks.
