OOTW

0-004OOTW = Outfit of the weekend. Annnnnd we’re almost halfway done the NaBloPoMo. No troubles over on this side. Let’s see how I do towards the end of November, shall we?

Earrings: Aerie for $4.95!
Nails: Painted with E.L.F. polish for $1
Ring: A present that someone brought me back from Portugal
Shirt: Abercrombie knit from 2007 I think? I rarely wear it because I love it and don’t want to ruin it with too much wear.
Tanktop: Brown Abercrombie tank on clearance for like $9.95 (not shown, because it’s obviously worn underneath my knit shirt)
Jeans: Brand name is: ‘Fidelity’ from a boutique by our apartment, that I rarely go into because they have so many nice (expensive) jeans and I don’t want to be tempted. (You can see the back of them here.) Parenthesis are fun!

So here I am smiling away in the door way waiting on the boy so we can head out to do some errands. I think our roles are reversed, it always seems like I’m waiting on him to get ready in the mornings, or whenever we’re going out together somewhere. Excuse the one “light grey” eye. I’m prone to getting red eye when I get my photo taken, and so I photoshopped it out but you know, you can’t fix it 100% I gueeeesss…

I felt a lot more put together in person. I swear those jeans are much darker and slimming in person. Or so I thought.

How do you keep your jeans dark? Mine always seem to fade in the thigh area. Maybe it’s because I wear them constantly, and always wash them (and not inside out). Also, quick question. Where have all my commenters gone? I used to get like one comment per entry and ever since I started NaBloPoMo I don’t think I have received one yet. Do you guys not like what I’m writing? Give me some suggestions. More outfit of the days? Less random thoughts? What?!

Anyway,  have a good Saturday all! I’m out to do some grocery shopping with my boyf.

No Cake for You

Nobody wants their face to look cakey after taking the time to put on foundation to cover up flaws. Am I right?

Even with liquid foundation, it sometimes looks as if I have a cake–face some mornings and I’m not sure why. (Sad face).

But fret not, I have a cure ladies! Remember when I posted here, and here about the wonderful lip balm and cream called Avène?  I decided to pick up some spray that is basically spring water that you spritz on your face to set your make up. A little less harsh than MAC’s Fix +,  which won’t let your pores breath, and will clog up those pore after multiple uses. Gross. All you do is apply foundation, bronzer if needed and spray on the Avène with the aerosol can and yes it will look like you drenched your face but just wait a bit for it to dry. Pat dry if needed, but I usually just get my 187 brush out from MAC and swirl it around my face and voila — dewy–ness achieved. Then, if I want to look a bit flushed I add some blush cream to my face for some wintery rosey cheeks.

(Pardon the blank facial expression)

It works, trust me! You should seriously try it out.

What I need now, is some face moisturizer for winter. Right now I’m just using Neutrogena’s cream from the summer, and it’s probably not moisturizing enough for my soon to be eczema face in the upcoming dry months. :(  Any recommendations?

Outfit of the Day

oct21Outfit of the Day:

ootd-oct21

It’s been about a month since I wrote anything under the fashion category, which is just usually outfits of the day. But I wanted to show people my outfit of the day for October 21. I personally thought that I was looking pretty stylish, until I went back and checked to see when the last time I did an “OOTD” post, and it was  basically the same outfit minus a different pair of pants. Fashion fail.

Clearly this outfit is a favorite of mine.

Earrings: Forever 21
Rings: I have no idea, I’ve had these for years. Most likely bought from Smart Set?
Scarf: $20 at Abercrombie
Cardigan: J. Crew (So in ♥ with this cardy)
White Tee: Long sleeved basic tee from Abercrombie (Winter 2008)
Pants: Jacob from 2006. I bought these in Old Montreal, so long ago and I still get questioned if they’re brand new. They’re dressy jean material, but I never wear them anywhere besides work. So they still have a hardcore crease in them, even after I wash them. Nice.
Shoes: The giraffe patterned ones!

Ugh, it’s been a long week.
