My latest prAna purchases

My Mom’s last few days here in California was right before everything was shutdown due to COVID. One of our last outings was to Palo Alto to browse around the beautiful Stanford Shopping Center. After that we drove across a few streets to get to the Town and Country Village, where I know they have a prAna store. I LOVE that store so much. In the past (around 2017, and 2018) I worked with them fairly regularly to promote new launches and new campaigns they had social media influencers working on.

I’m no stranger to prAna’s clothing as I remember my friends back in Newfoundland wearing them while we went climbing, back in the late 90s! So when I had the chance to work with them and try their clothing out for myself, I was hooked. I still have and wear most of the items that they sent me in the past. They wash and hold up incredibly well, even if you chuck them into the dryer. I still can’t get over how they still look pretty much brand new.

So, I waltzed into the Palo Alto store, tried on a handful of things I knew I wanted to try, and walked out with an updated (and smaller!) pair of leggings for myself. I liked the oversized fit (and especially the colour) of this cozy up sweatshirt, but I didn’t like how it bunched around my waist.

You can tell I felt great in this outfit! These are the transform leggings I ended up buying. For my birthday, I asked my husband to pick up the cozy up summer pullover for me – and he did. I’m pleased as punch.

These are the transform leggings in the green shade. I liked them a lot too, but I knew I’d get more wear out of the black ones. Plus, I already have a pair of olivey-greenish leggings.

I clearly did not want to leave the dressing room without buying the top too, but I couldn’t justify dropping all that cash at once, even though I reallllllllly loved the top. I knew I wanted to walk in there and get an updated pair of leggings.

Have you ever worn prAna’s clothing before?

OOTD: Fall Style

My go-to look this Fall. I love this jacket that I’ve been making sure my outfits go with said jacket, so I could wear it (nearly) daily. It’s a lot heavier feeling than it looks, and has a nice weight to it. It’s oversized and can comfortably fit a nice warm sweater on underneath. I’ve been pairing it mainly with black leggings and a black top. Oof, I love it. Love it.

I mean, the jacket doesn’t look like it’d be that warm, right? Wrong. It’s warm enough for an always cold person like myself and I’ve been known to wear it inside the house too, since it’s always so freezing indoors for some reason.

Outfit details:
Rayban sunnies
Free People jacket
Target tee
prAna leggings
Brooks sneaks

Y so serious.

Clearly working on my different poses lol. Toe tap, with my arms cozied up around me acting like it’s sooooo chilly here in California (actually, as a Canadian living here….it does get cold!).

I trimmed off my scraggly dead ends off my hair a few days ago. Also featured appearance: Alfie friend! Our sweet puppa.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

OOTD

I haven’t been feeling well the last week or so. I think it’s due to the weather shift. One minute it’s 12 degrees and misty outside, the next it’s 32 and a scorcher of a day. Anyway, I can’t wait to get rid of this aggressive cough – otherwise I feel grand and dandy – minus the two random days where I actually got sick sick. That’s never fun.

But what’s fun is more OOTDs. Yay. Hope you’re enjoying them like I used to post way back in the day. These pics were from a few weeks ago, but that’s what happens when I’m a tired mama. I don’t get time to post as regularly as I’d like. I’d rather shut everything down (ie: my body lol) when I put bebs down for the night. Anyway too many excuses! Let’s get onto the post:

Alfie will be TEN YEARS OLD in a few days. Can you believe it?

You’re not gonna believe where this sweater is from. I’ll tell you below in the details. I LOVE it. It comes in many colours, but make sure if/when you buy it you have a coupon.

Here Alfie’s in mid-bark because he sees my husband and bebs coming home from a run with the jogging stroller.

The foolish side of me then comes out. Trying to make bebs laugh ;)

Outfit details:
Sunnies: Rayban
Sweater: Old Navy
Belt: American Eagle (circa 2004 or so lol)
Jeans: Articles of Society (one of my faves, find them at Nordstrom!)
