Whoops…

Um. So much for No Buy Month. I ended up getting Easter treats (for tomorrow) to make a cheesecake, and I even bought lunch because yesterday was incredibly busy, during lunch time at the bank and the grocery store – I had to race home to let Alfie piddle, then race back to work. Thankfully there’s a coffee shop in our building that makes delicious panini’s, so I asked the guy to make me one. Yum.

I also have to go out tomorrow to buy one of those $20 hand mixers to make a cheesecake (my first one – ever! It’s so easy too, if it comes out right I’ll link the recipe from Kraft Canada.

Just took Alfie out on a two hour (slow) walk so he could get used to people. Bark bark bark. Vicious little attitude.  Old men have a thing for ladies and puppies. I don’t know what it was all about, but when I sat down on some steps to take a break, all these creepers came and sat next to me.

He’s quite exhausted there now. Finally, I don’t have to watch him and jump out of my computer chair to discipline him because he’s conked right out on the floor next to me. On his side. Adorb!!!

Have a happy Good Friday! Poor Boyf has to work all weekend :(

Wide awake on a Mooooondayyy

My first full day where I feel 100% back to normal! I woke up at 5:47AM to head to the gym and do a boot camp class. Got home and showered while I heard the puppy yawn and cry for me – you know that adorable yawn where they let out little screams at the end? lol. Ok not really scream but a whine. Anyway, he wanted to be TOTALLY babied this morning and just be carried around — which was annoying and difficult as I had to feed myself, get dressed AND clean up pee that I found in the KITCHEN! BAD!!!

latteSo I stopped by Starbucks and got a Hazelnut Latte for myself. I’m going to be wired! I LOVE it. They didn’t have any of those fancy green stoppers and I needed something because with my erratic driving it’d be splashing everywhere. HEE HEE they gave me a sticker! Peru Chanchamayo it says on it. Fancy stuff.

I rarely have caffeine. Okay, like I drink pop all the time (well not ALL the time) but coffee? Never. It makes me hyper, like I feel like I’m acting as if I was if I were drunk. Very chatty, very friendly. Coffee does weird things to the body.

Love my nail polish? It’s peachy colored from ELF (I think it’s called Coral). I bought it ages ago and forgot I had it. Nice and springy and only a dollah!.

Have a graaaaand ol’ day all — and if you really want to have a new workout top hurry up as my ebay auction ends TODAY! 5 hours left!

I think I’m going to do the No Buy Month in April. I dreamed about it last night.

My finances

I’m on a pretty strict budget as it is, since I know where all of my money goes when I get paid every 2 weeks. However, I think I want to pay off my car loan, before the end of this year. Sounds crazy right? Close to twenty grand (as of last October), paid off in 12 months? I’m not sure it’s possible for me to do in ~ < 1 year, but I think I’m darn well going to try. When I first got my car loan I was paying $190.00 biweekly, but as soon as Christmas ended, I upped that payment to a huge sum of $300.00 bi weekly. It’s completely manageable at that rate, but when I confided in a co-worker asking how much I’d have to put down each bi-weekly schedule to have it paid off by October 31, 2010 I was floored. I’m clearly not very good at math or I could have easily done it myself.

I’ll have to more than double my payments. We’re talking $625.00 biweekly if I want to pay it off in 9 months from now. I’m not sure that I’m willing to do that in this stage of the game, as I still have to save some extra money each month for an emergency fund, car fund, save money for mailing out my giveaways and even plane tickets for vacations. I really have to sit down and think if this is worth it.

I just really hate debt and I want to be in it, as little as possible and I’m seriously thinking of doing another No Buy Month like I did last March.
