An obsession with Anthro

That No Buy Month? Yea, chuck that out the window. I ended up buying the striped Anthropologie cardigan shown (2nd last) below.Along with a pair of Tory Burch Reva flats
(
see directly to the right?) that I have been eying stalking each and every single darn tootin day since MAY. 6 fricking months. To my defense, it was all purchased with free money that I earned from paid blogging.

At least once a month I post on my website of what I like from Anthropologie new arrivals section. Did you know that when you visit the US site, it has a “sale” section? Why doesn’t the Canadian version have one too? Lame.

It’s good that I wait to buy items, because I wanted this cardy (that I posted about when I got back from my Edmonton vacation) and I went to Toronto I ended up getting it for 60% off. This is me trying it on in the Edmonton store in September:

Here are some items that I have my eye on currently.Twisted Birch Shell (x). Note: at a ridiculous price.

Gorgeous jacket to wear to the office. (x)

Assembelage Cardigan (x). Can’t wait for this one to go on sale!

Shapeshifting Sweats Cardigan (x)

Annnnd so much for No Buy Month. I ended up picking this ‘Buoyant Bunches Cardigan (x)’ on sale for nearly 50% off its original price. I do have to say though, that I paid with my PayPal money (re: Paid Blogging money) so technically it was free. Right? I can’t wait until it arrives.

This is also a nice cardi that I tried on during the summer. It’s gorgeous on,  AND ON SALE even though it sort of looks like an old-lady print. I remember so many women of all ages were trying on this cardi, so I decided to as well. It looks super nice on me. This is one I’m going to think about. I didn’t end up taking a photo of myself in this one, which is why I sort of forget how it fits. I may end up buying it…. we’ll see.

How to complain on your blog

Alright, remember the time last week when I posted about Blogging Etiqutte and for you to check out Hollaback Health? Well I’ve spent the majority of my free time reading on their website.

I wrote a post a week prior to finding Blogging Etiquette and wrote my own Why I read (or unsubscribe from) your blog.  A couple of people who read my blog told me that they too want to get into blogging, and would like some tips. Well everyone, these tips are for new and old bloggers alike.

How to complain on your blog

Oh yes..

Some of my favorite snippets from the blog:

Good complaining: “I saved up for a month and finally splurged on a pair of Lululemon yoga pants, only to spill hot chocolate on them the first time I wore them!”

Bad complaining: “I just bought three new pairs of Lululemon yoga pants because the ones I bought last month are starting to look a little faded. I was wearing one of the pairs at the skiing event that Healthy Cocoa Co. flew me to to write about and I spilled Healthy Cocoa Co’s cocoa all over them. I’m sooooooo pissed!”

_____________________________________

Don’t open every post with a complaint in the form of “Sorry I’ve been MIA!” followed by a long list of your responsibilities. Oh, I’m so glad you’re back — I can now end my hunger strike! Seriously…shhhhhh. Just move on. If every week it’s the same (“So busy!”), it gets old. We’re all busy, but no one is forcing us to blog. So unless you’re doing a post about improving one’s poor time management skills, just don’t bother.

Awesome. You can read more here.

Crispy dill chicken

Supper, straight out of the oven.

Take a peak on the inside of the stuffed chicken! Gorg.

This supper was incredible. It was also surprisingly easy to make. We all know everyone loves an easy recipe in the kitchen, especially when you’re cooking on a week night.

I knew I wanted to make some crispy chicken and I didn’t have any breadcrumbs on hand so I improvised with premium plus crackers. I used 9 in total, but I think 6 would have been sufficient.

How did I create this easy supper? Let’s see below (psst it’s also posted in the recipe section here)

  1. Pound out the chicken breasts until flat.
  2. Spread a mixture of low fat philadelphia cream cheese and dill (I use the squeeze tube, nothing fresh or in a jar)
  3. Roll up your chicken breast and cheese mixture and secure with toothpicks where needed.
  4. Whisk one egg in a separate bowl, and dip the outside of your chicken into the egg.
  5. Mash 6 crackers together until they’re crumbly and once dipped in the egg, dip into the crumbs.
  6. Bake your chicken in the oven on 350º until thoroughly cooked.

Soooo easy, so fast, and definitely a keeper. I’ll be making this one again.
