Excess Baggage Review

I love soft comfy clothing, and I love that Excess Baggage sent me a Bamboo ‘sweater’ to review.

This is the stock image that I grabbed from their website. Looks so casual chiq on the model, love drapey clothing like this for weekend days! The Bamboo V Sweater is actually by a designer called D6 Clothing. I’ve now noticed they have a variety of sizes back in stock. When I had originally said what size I needed it wasn’t available. So I decided to go for a medium for a slouchy look.

It’s a white plaid made out of 100% Bamboo Sorona, which is a luxurious blend of corn-based fabric, and it’s made in Los Angeles!

Here’s the tags that came along with the shirt. I thought it was a really unique way of displaying how the shirt was made, take a read!

Size one..

Side two…

I received the medium, as per my request since I thought the shirt would look super cute over sized. While it is super incredibly comfy and I feel so amazing in it – I think it’s a tad too big to wear on its own. I decided to make a silly photo to show you how it really fits.

Say what? That’s me mimicking what I was saying in the upper left photo. I think this shirt is ideal for a day on the beach, or even as a casual weekend top with a camisole underneath. I think it’s absolutely darling. It’s crazy soft to the touch, and doesn’t feel like anything on.Don’t mind me trying to do chin ups on the door frames. I’m channeling my inner climbing.

On a serious note here is what it looks like when I stand normal.

Doesn’t it look great here? I could totally be that model online. It fits great, a little sexy, a little cute, all soft and chic looking. I think I remind myself of a surfer chick wearing this. Love the pop of neon green here too.

Another pose because you probably can’t get enough of me.

The arms are different on this. A bit of a dolman sleeve. They make me laugh. Oh and they have thumb loops! I LOVE when anything I wear has thumb loops in them.

From the back. I’ve always wanted to wear an off the shoulder top! Again, it would look cute if you were wearing a bikini and have this be your cover up. Casual and comfortable.

You can buy this shirt online here for $42! Thanks Excess Baggage for sending me this fabulous Bamboo top to review!

Yvonne Estelle’s $50 Giveaway!

Back in November I held a $50 gift card giveaway to an online store called Yvonne Estelle’s. I happily obliged to host another giveaway for the stylish online shop. As per last time this giveaway is unfortunately only available to my US readers.  So, one lucky US resident will be eligible to win a $50 gift card from them!

The first things I always scope out on home interior decorating sites like this one is almost always the bedding section.  I am always on the lookout for new linens and fabric designs for each season. This spring they have some really clean fresh designs like this one that I spotted on their page:

Doesn’t the blue design on the bed just shout classy? Pair that with these (yellow) pillows shown below, and you’ve got yourself a nice new bedding set and ready for Spring!\

Yvonne Estelle’s online store is such a large store, so I could definitely spend plenty of hours browsing through their new throws, adorable kitchen towels, or even a soap collection to browse through!

I think my next favorite item would have to be this Designers Guild Lansburg throw for $199, nice purples and fushias – a bright and bold look for Spring. It snowed here last week so this would be perfect for those cold, rainy days of spring. Or snow-days, you know.

A lot of their linens are really high quality pieces, which usually mean they are a bit on the pricier side. But they also have a section online for Gifts Under $50 where you can shop for cute aprons, stone baskets for fruit or even some scented votivo candles.

So, how can you win this $50 gift card?

You must read and complete the contest rules in order for your entry to count.

Contest Rules:

  1. Comment and tell me what you’d spend your $50 gift card on. 1 Entry.
  2. Must be a resident of USA (sorry everyone else!).

I got spoiled!

When Cinda B bags wrote me and told me they were sending me something to review, I didn’t realize the something was actually plural: some things. Oh boy, did they ever spoil me! I raced to the post office to pick up my package and rushed home to open it. Inside was a handwritten note which I thought was so sweet. Hi Brittney!

The only thing I mentioned while dealing with Cinda B was that I was interested in the lunch tote, and I picked out a handful of colors that I enjoyed. The color the girls picked out for me is called “Bella Fiore Raspberry“. Apparently that color matches Pantone’s color of the year. As a Graphic Designer, I already feel ashamed that I didn’t know that.

Okay let’s get to it! I wanted to show you the things they gave to me!

First of all, a close up shot of their adorable logo and soft material that everything is made out of. Easy to clean too. Bonus.

Lunch tote can be buttoned up to carry as a “clutch” style, or as a handle.

The lunch tote has a nice sized bottom to it (7″w x 6½”D x 8″h). You can sort of see the size of it here, as a side view.

Inside view.

I’ll be using this as my everyday lunch bag for sure! Which one is Nancy’s lunch? Ohhh the cute pink bag in the fridge!!

Here’s my new lunch bag next to my old one. It’s massive!!

Clearly the lunch bag was my favorite item. It scored the most photos featured here on my blog, ha!

Alright then I got the Vertical Cosmetic bag which will defintiely come in hand. I can also see myself using this as another lunch tote, but it’s not as wide on the bottom.

It has so many pockets!

Yoga bag! I totally need to go to another yoga class and get my own mat, just so I can carry this cutie patootie in with me.

Inside, the pattern on the Bella Fiore Raspberry is really nice. Notice it has a zippered pocket too, for your keys or something!

This flatiron case is great and very much needed in my household. I always put the straightener on the tiled floor once I’m done with it in the morning, and it just doesn’t look pretty all piled up next to everyone’s shoes. Now it can go in the bedroom all wrapped up nice and pretty until the next time I use it! It’s good because it allows you to put a hot curling iron, or flat iron in its case even if it’s still hot!

Products featured:
Lunch tote
Vertical Cosmetic tote
Yoga Bag (not available to buy yet, but Cinda B blogged about it being available Spring 2011!)
Flat Iron / Curling Iron cover

This is a description of it on the website.

CUTE + CLEANABLE Our stain-resistant, water-resistant and machine washable fabrics can handle anything you or your baby can throw at them—literally! To daycare, errands, or a play date, cinda b baby bags and accessories are perfect for moms on the go.

I also think that the “roundabout red” color is pretty eye catching too.

Thanks Cinda B bags for giving me the opportunity to review your products! Love them soo much!
