The explorer family

Remember when I told you about L McMomsie’s 5 year wedding anniversary? How her and her husband both got each other Fossil presents? Well, L’s birthday was shortly after their anniversary and she had absolutely no idea what she was getting when she opened up her presents from her bestie.

MORE. FOSSIL. THINGS. I can’t even make this shiz up anymore.

I’m telling you. She has way more Fossil items than I do now! I’m tres-jealous. That’s all the french I know. Besides bonjour.L’s friend had surprised her with a Fossil Explorer cross-body purse in this super flattering color. Almost like a Robin’s Egg blue but with a touch of mint and a whole lotta buttery-softness. Bam. Like I do with every purse my friends show me, I grabbed it and tried it on and did a few twirls, patted the purse down to feel the leather (because Fossil leather’s are crazy soft) , and hesitantly gave it back to her ;)

Here is L on her birthday modeling the purse for me. What a great bestie she has. Her outfit goes well with the purse, don’t you think?!

L pointed out that the inside straps on the purse are fabric, (see last image, on upper right hand side) and the outer is leather. It makes the movement and flow easy, instead of getting “stuck” while manourving if it were made of leather.

My co-workers and I now have the almost the entire Explorer purse collection by Fossil. Hilarious right? Check all them hanging out together in my office. They’re besties now.

Again. I swear it’s not a sponsored post. I just think it’s great that everyone I work with loves Fossil as much as I do!

I’ve done it now!

Well, I’ve done it now! I’ve managed to get another co-worker hooked on the Fossil brand! Score.

If you’re new to my blog, or just missed the posts. I’ve blogged a few times about my Fossil items. You can see my brand new Fossil watch & purse here. My co-worker L, purchased two Fossil watches shortly after, and now Laura my other co-worker, bought a Fossil purse!

Since Laura is a reader of the blog, I asked her if she’d like to be featured this week. She happily accepted and posed with her new beaut for some photos.

Laura had been looking for a new purse for a few months but the stores she went into didn’t have the best quality of purses. Laura spotted mine when I received it in May, and has been asking if she could have it ever since. (Um. No.) She and her daughter were shopping in the local mall and randomly decided to just go on into the Fossil store. Knowing that Fossil bags were pricey, once she spotted the Explorer Tote and was indecisive as to whether or not to make the large purchase. Her daughter finally convinced her that she needs to spend some money on herself from time to time!

Good for her I say, she deserves to spend a little money on herself. Each morning, without fail I come into work, I pop by Laura’s desk and have a quick chat with her. Immediately I knew something was up, since she had this big grin on her face. She pointed to the floor where her purse was laying. When I realized it was a Fossil bag I think I gasped, then we both started laughing and I started touching and idolizing this foxy brown soft leather bag.

Laura ended up buying the Explorer Tote. It’s the larger version of my medium sized, Explorer Flap. The girls at the local store where she purchased it, said it’s a new color for Fall and Laura was one of the first people to buy it. That gal — what a fashionista! I was eying up her purse all day and kind of wanted to borrow it ;)

One thing about Fossil merchandise, is that they brand everything with keys, which I think is a great little subtle touch to branding their pieces.

Looks great on her right? Here’s Laura sporting her knockout purse of hers. Literally, she could knock someone out with it. Her bag was already filled to the brim and about 7lbs heavy, ha ha!

Even though Laura’s Explorer Tote is the larger version of my Explorer Flap, there still is a few slight differences in our bags!

Are you a fan of Fossil purses?

Are you a shoe girl, purse girl, or clothing kind of girl?

As you know, I’m a huge fan of Fossil products. Between their purses, watches and bracelets. I think I need to invest some stocks in Fossil ;)

I’m a purse and a shoe girl.

OOTWW

Wheyyheeyy it’s Friday the 13th! This usually means I have a lucky day. Has anyone really ever had a bad luck day on Friday the 13th?

I have a special surprise for you today! Julie, my c0-worker who has been featured on my blog many times already. Here is her outfit that she wore to work last Friday! Isn’t she cute? Note: Julie never wears flats—her ankle was busted up from hardy-partying on New Years Eve. OMG! She’s also about the same height as me 5’5″. Julie wanted me to mention that, since she thinks she looks miniature in this photo. Which she does not.

Cardigan and jean skirt from Ricki’s // Red top is Point Zero // Flats are sketchers

You may notice that on Monday I’m blurring out my face. Ohhhh, there’s a reason for it :)

Last Saturday I decided to use a new eye cream and I reacted strangely to it. Sunday morning I woke up with really puffy eyelids, under eyes and you couldn’t see my tear duct area at all. By Sunday evening the swelling had gone down a bit. Silly me decided to try to see if the new cream was in fact the problem, so again I tried it, without anything else on my face. Sure enough, Monday morning I woke up with puffy eyes once again. You betcha I didn’t try it a third time around.

I gave my skin a much needed break on Monday and didn’t wear anything to work. Co-workers thought I was either having a rough night, crying all night long or looked red around the eye area. I felt like I looked like a completely different person with my puffy eyes. It was strange looking into the mirror! I told my co-workers what the issue was, so they didn’t think Scott and I broke up or anything over the weekend, making it look like I was crying all night haha!!

Onto my OOTWW:
