DISNEY’S ALADDIN 2019

So remember when I announced I was working with Disney, and then I didn’t talk about their upcoming movies, etc? Well I’m back at it again. I’m here to bring you a teaser trailer and poster for the new ALADDIN movie which releases everywhere on May 24, 2019. Oh this is a classic.

ALADDIN is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, the film is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s ALADDIN.

ALADDIN stars Will Smith as the larger-than-life Genie; Mena Massoud as the charming scoundrel Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine, the beautiful, self-determined princess; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, the powerful sorcerer; Navid Negahban as the Sultan concerned with his daughter’s future; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Princess Jasmine’s free-spirited best friend and confidante. The film includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and two new songs. The film, which was shot on practical stages in London and on location amidst the stunning desert vistas of Jordan, has a talented creative team helping to bring Agrabah to life.

Watch below — it looks good hey? Can’t wait to start taking bebs to movies when he’s a little older!

Our eerie entryway

Baby’s first Halloween!

Gotta bring the goods inside, since that’s where we’ll be seeing it the most. The exterior is decorated too, but for safety sake, I won’t be showing the outside.

C’mon into our homely abode and take a peek at the eerie entryway that I’ve decorated for our first official Halloween in the house. Just two weeks away and I’m excited to see all the neighbour kids in their costumes come Halloween night. I’ll show you photos of bebs when he’s dressed up in his costume. Hint, it’s a bit of a throw-back to the 90’s. Maybe the 80’s? I don’t know which decade it’s from. But I’m sure someone will fill me in on it.

It’s fairly simple, but I think it all pulled together quite nicely, don’t you? I’m going to head out later this week to get some larger pumpkins for the front porch outside. Eeek, can’t wait!

Shop the look: ghost lights, bats, cylinder vase, orange lights, black waffle weave towel, velvet pumpkin

8 months postpartum

One day I’m waiting for the first trimester (and a bit) to announce my pregnancy. The next, I’m 38 weeks pregnant, then he’s born. Now he’s EIGHT months old. Wild.

I have an amazing group of friends that I met, and many of our babies were born within just weeks of each other, almost all of them being February 2018 babies. It’s pretty special, and I love that we’re all in the same scenario together. Whenever I feel overwhelmed, or just need someone to talk to, a few of us will grab coffee and hang with our babies for a bit.

Baby now has four teeth – his top two came in early on in his 7th month. They’re pretty adorable looking. Who knew teeth could be cute. Baby teeth are, though.

Whenever he sneezes and say “bless you” or “gesundheit” he laughs way more at the latter, so I guess that’s what we’re going to continue saying now after each sneeze. It’s fun.

Baby saw balloons for the first time in his 7th month: for Dada’s birthday!

He isn’t crawling yet, but he can definitely find his way to Alfie and his toys. Also, his new move looks like this:

I’m also trying to teach him the word “gentle” this month. Gentle with Alfie, gentle with Mama’s hair, gentle with other baby’s faces, gentle with your toys…you get the picture. One thing he caught on a little was waving this month. He doesn’t always wave when you want him to, but when he does it’s this slow little wag with his whole hand and I need to capture it on video one day.

He’s starting to get possessive of his things lately now, which is an interesting development milestone. He tried to eat grass the other day in the park, and when I told him no he got upset. Same with the bath-water soaked face cloth he tried to eat. Ha!!

That’s all I’ve got for now. Baby is down for slumber right now and I’m going to turn off this computer and put my own PJs on and relax for the rest of the evening.
