It has been ages since I have done an outfits of the work week post, and since I am not working or dressing somewhat professionally on the regular, I let it slide.
Now that I have relocated to California with my husband and our pup, my style has become more laid back, with wearing jeans and tee-shirts type of deal on the regular; and I’m quite okay with that. I totally would’ve worn some of these outfits to work, if were acceptable. Maybe not the ripped jeans or the leggings though ;)
So I think I’m going to bring the outfits of the week back. Maybe not on a weekly basis like I used to do and post every Friday, but either bi-weekly or monthly. I think my style is pretty boring lately but who knows, maybe now that I’m publishing it on my blog I’ll get more motivation to style my outfits even if I’m not heading out anywhere. A lot of people expressed their interest, and said they have missed my OOTD posts — I’m happily surprised! But I too have missed doing them. Oh, also I won’t be linking where everything is from, since everything I own is quite old, or basics from your generic stores (forever 21 for instance, I don’t care if I’m too old to shop there, they have some amazing tee’s sometimes! Ain’t nobody got $50 to spend on a tee. That’s ridic., especially on my budget hahahaha)
Okay okay, here we go, and yes I’m wearing extensions in the last picture! (Click to enlarge the image if you want)
P.S. Grey tee + white jeans is basically my summer uniform. I would wear that outfit every day if I could. Such a classic look in my opinion.
P.P.S What are your favourite outfits from this week?
Today I’m heading out to San Francisco to see my old co-op student we had in the summer of 2012. Remember stylish Patrick, my fro-yo and swing-dancing buddy? He’s on a work term here, and I’m so excited to browse the big city with him! I’ll definitely report back on Monday on the sights of the city.
The spring collections just keep popping up like fresh flowers blooming on an April morning. How’s that for the cheesiest opening line, ever? Totally not me, but I thought it was hilarious when I thought of it — and just had to start my post with it.
Yves Saint Laurent Spring 2014 Collection has a ton of great picks out. Look at the fresh corals and pinks they’ve released back in January when I was busy packing up our lives to move across the continent to beautiful California.
So many fun things happened this week.
First up I’ll post my outfits that I wore to work this week. That’s a lot of red going on. Guess I’m subconsciously feeling festive? It’s pretty windy outside this morning, hence the face.
Secondly let’s talk about food. Holy guacamole my work is amazing. We had two sponsored lunches this week. Monday we had pizza and yesterday we had TURKEY DINNER. Crazy right. I am the messiest eater ever. Where’s my bib? Pepsi flung down my shirt (I don’t even know myself), and gravy strewn everywhere. It’s a common phrase that people use on me on almost a weekly basis: “Nancy, we can dress ya up but we can’t take you out.” I will admit that is 100% true..
Also have been drinking some Starbucks peppermint white mocha’s. #PeppyMoXo on twitter…catchy name.
Not only that… McDonalds made me McSmile (cue the cheese… burger) with a Christmas gift filled with all sorts of treats. I posted it on Facebook and Twitter thanking them for the presents. I don’t really know why they sent it to me, other than the fact that they tell me I’m their biggest fan. I can’t believe I’m noticed. Maybe that means I eat there too much. The bag contained 2 McCafe mugs, a pkg of coffee, and some coupons for fries, wraps, drinks and burgers. When I opened the superbly large box it came in, I literally did a hysterical laugh. No joke, it sounded manic and two of my coworkers came running into my office to see what the commotion was all about. Then I started dancing and twirling with my new “purse”.
