INGREDIENTS
2 Chicken Breasts (boneless/skinless)
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Pepper
â…“ cup Garlic & Herbs Marinade
½ cup Mozzarella cheese—shredded
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 whole pepper
½ cup Diana Sauce, original flavor
2 tsbp dijon mustard
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 325ºF
- Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Coat chicken in marinade and let stand for 30 minutes (or overnight, which I do)
- Lay chicken breasts on baking sheet
- Mix together the cheese with Italian seasoning.
- Slice peppers up into big strips. Place on top of flattened chicken breast
- Add cheese and seasoning mixture
- Secure chicken around the peppers and mixture with toothpicks
- Stir the maple flavor sauce with the mustard and brush half mixture over chicken
- Cook for 30 minutes in oven, or until no longer pink
- Serve and enjoy!
Feel free to substitute ingredients that you would like better. I bet broccoli or asparagus would taste just as yummy. Try different marinates too!
