After I mentioned I’d be bringing back outfits of the week I only kept it up for one week. Fail on my part! I had been taking pictures continuously for the second week then dropped off the face of the selfie planet for a few weeks there after. Fret not… here are some more self timed portraits for you to take a oggle at! I’ll try to remember to take daily pictures again. It’s easy to forget, especially since it’s been close to 2 years since I had been doing it regularly.

I need to say something about this even though you guys probably didn’t even notice. Here’s me bringing attention to it! The second last picture was taken at 6:30am before I headed out the door to attend an all-day blog conference in San Francisco. I had caked on too much makeup in hopes of covering up my hives, hence the weird colouring/flash photography and chunky jawline lol :(

It has been ages since I have done an outfits of the work week post, and since I am not working or dressing somewhat professionally on the regular, I let it slide.

Now that I have relocated to California with my husband and our pup, my style has become more laid back, with wearing jeans and tee-shirts type of deal on the regular; and I’m quite okay with that. I totally would’ve worn some of these outfits to work, if were acceptable. Maybe not the ripped jeans or the leggings though ;)

So I think I’m going to bring the outfits of the week back. Maybe not on a weekly basis like I used to do and post every Friday, but either bi-weekly or monthly. I think my style is pretty boring lately but who knows, maybe now that I’m publishing it on my blog I’ll get more motivation to style my outfits even if I’m not heading out anywhere. AÂ lot of people expressed their interest, and said they have missed my OOTD posts â€” I’m happily surprised! But I too have missed doing them. Oh, also I won’t be linking where everything is from, since everything I own is quite old, or basics from your generic stores (forever 21 for instance, I don’t care if I’m too old to shop there, they have some amazing tee’s sometimes! Ain’t nobody got $50 to spend on a tee. That’s ridic., especially on my budget hahahaha)

P.S. Grey tee + white jeans is basically my summer uniform. I would wear that outfit every day if I could. Such a classic look in my opinion.

California has not changed me

As you read this, I’m either on an airplane or stuck in Chicago airport for 7 hours while I wait for another leg of my flight back to California.

I thought it was only appropriate to show an outfit of the day where I hung out with my new blogger bud Megan. She was also living in California but moved back to Toronto just a few short days ago. So sad I won’t be seeing her pretty face on the regular anymore. But I remember this day back in late April, one of our last few visits with each other.

You’ll notice an iced coffee in my hands for some of the photos – which I might add was the blandest wateriest iced coffee I’ve spent my money on. I’ll be talking about that spot on the blog at another point and time.Â Anyhoodle. Back to the blog post, it’s supposed to be all fashiony and such. I think this was somewhere in the Mission district of San Francisco. Either way, it was hot, it was fun, and I was awkward. You’ll see after the mirror selfies in this bathroom in San Francisco which has terrific selfie lighting. Just sayin.

Do yo like the shirt I’m wearing? I call it my zoo-keeper shirt. I kinda feel like one, wearing it. All rustic and worn-in looking, and it hasÂ that general feel to it with the green. AM I RIGHT?

Don’t worry, California hasn’t changed me. I’m still doing the awkward dances in the street trying to shake my wiggles out and decide on how to post for the next picture. As soon as I saw this picture, IÂ laughed so much I had to ask Megan if my mascara was running. I also may have let out a snort-laugh while I was at it. You know I’m laughing hard then. I immediately sent the picture to my husband and he wrote back “are you sitting on an invisible bench?” Cracked me right up.

Then I started laughing again. Not knowing what to do with my body. I can be so awkward. :) But it’s all in good fun. We had a fantastic time laughing and carrying on trying to take some of the photos.
